Hot off the presses is VMware vCenter Operations Management Suite 5.6! Updated products include:

One major improvement is the integration between products. Reading the release notes you consistently see “this release introduces integration with….”. It’s great to see VMware finally integrating their various acquisitions and resulting products with each other. A big win for customers!
Configuration manager now supports Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, in case you are on that leading edge in your environment. Support is dropped for Solaris 9, SLES 8, SLES 9, and a few other operating systems. If you are interested in compliance, it now includes the DISA STIG for Red Hat 5.0.
