  • Broadcast Skype for Business meetings: Familiar, scalable, reliable, Extensible. Scales up to 10,000 users. Launched later this summer.
  • Increases the limit from 250 people in a meeting to 10,000
  • Demos a Skype directory search that can include location
  • Shows off a Webkit SDK demo of a medical app with an embedded Skype video window
  • Skype will support SQL AlwaysOn Availability groups
  • Cisco and Tandberg interop with direct meeting join
  • PBX integration as well
  • Easier hybrid setup and management
  • In place upgrade from 2013
  • Uses the same hardware specs as Lync 2013. Very minimal downtime and no new hardware needed.
  • New reporting tool for call quality validation. Part of the IT Pro toolkit
  • Can drill down into call quality stats down to the subnet and location to pinpoint issues
  • Third party tools by Event Zero, Nectar, Unify2
  • Can deploy an end to end managed network with Office 365 and certain service providers. Complete QoS end to end.
